Hello. Ligaments connect the bone to bone and have no ability to be strengthened. When someone severely injured a ligament then these are reconstructed(rebuilt with another tissue). If you have loose ligaments then you need to strengthen the surrounding muscles. For the elbow these are your biceps, triceps and forearm muscles. So doing regular exercises for these muscles should help stabilize the joint. Good luck.
You really cannot strengthen your ligaments of your elbow but what you can do is to strengthen the muscles that surround the elbow and this will help protect the ligaments surrounding the elbow.
Ligaments cannot be practically strengthened, only the muscles around the joint can be. Do biceps and triceps strengthening as well as wrist curls and extensions.

Hope it helps!!

"Strengthen" is something you do for ligaments. When you strengthen you strengthen the muscles, in this care around the elbow joint. As long as ligaments are healthy and not injured, they will not change much with anything that you do. If they are injured, you have to give them time to heal and then gradually increase activity so as not to reinjure them and at the same time strengthen the muscles around the joint in order to provide support to the joint with less stress on the ligaments.
Ligaments do not strengthen like muscles do with repeat weight lifting but strengthening your muscles will indirectly protect your ligaments against injury. When your muscles are weak, you are more prone to ligament injury.
