Depending on the extent of the injury - damage to one, two, or more ligaments - it can take 4 - 8 weeks to begin to walk normally again. When damaged ligaments don't heal with new ligament tissue. They heal with collegen (scar tissue) which is weaker than the original ligament.
3-4 days or seek an x-ray or professional
Hi! Ligaments take 4-6 weeks to heal so it would be sometime after that.
If you can not walk normally, and it has been more than a week or two since the injury, you need to have the ankle looked at by a medical professional
Returning to activity after ankle sprain will be determined by the severity of the injury. I recommend you make an appointment with a foot and ankle surgeon (podiatrist) for evaluation and treatment options.
