Pulling foreskin back after partial circumcision

Hello,
I had a partial circumcision 9 days ago. After the surgery, I was told by the doctor to pull my foreskin back over the head of the penis. However, I have not managed to do so so far.
I still have a sort of a swollen ring under the head of my penis, and I don't know how to pull it or the skin over the head.
I had a routine check at my doctors yesterday, and he actually somehow (without me looking at him doing it) pulled the foreskin over the head. The foreskin has, however, slipped back under the head over night.
How I'm supposed to do this? Am I supposed to pull the "ring" over the base of the head? - it seems the ring is stuck at the upper side of the penis. Or am I supposed to somehow roll the ring over and pull the skin over the ring?
Thank you for any advice.

You are tender so afraid to pull it back. You can pull it back quickly in the shower to wash it in warm water.
This is extremely important. Unsure what technique your physician performed the circumcision, or how much skin was left behind, but it is paramount that you are able to follow their post-operative instructions. I would contact the urologist's office and let them know you are having difficulty. This is important for the healing process. Either the doctor or a trained nurse in the office should be able to inform you appropriately.
