Neurologist Questions

Recumbent MRI images

I have a few MRI images from a recumbent MRI my fiance got, I have attended webinars through The Ehlers Danlos Society as I have Ehlers Danlos, When I was looking at them something caught my eye, I was looking at the cerebellum / brainstem area and noticed how it was pretty low almost chiari like, we are thinking about setting him up with an appointment with a neurologist for a second opinion and getting upright MRI's done. Does this look like there is a possibility, I know that recumbent MRI's aren't as accurate as upright with that sort of issue.

It doesnt look to me that the cerebellar tonsils are low enough to be labeled as a Chari type 1. A Neuro radiologist may be best able to answer your question. Leon Rosenberg
From what I can see, the cerebellar tonsils are right at the borderline of the foramen Magnum. Thus not meeting criteria for Arnold Chiari I. I'm not sure that getting an upright MRI will change anything ( unless he is symptomatic ) and even then you ( he ) would have to have more than 10 mm downward displacement or evidence of a syringomyelia before any surgical intervention consideration is given.
