Neurologist Questions

Seizures

I have been having deja vu type seizures my entire life. Then started having clonic tonic seizures from time to time. Now..my entire life my entire head and neck into my chest and shoulders has gotten pins a needle feeling. Like how it feels when your foot falls asleep. I had one neurologist tell me that it's part of the seizures. And another tell me they are not related. I am on nti seizure meds and the pins and needle feeling is now happening daily. Lasts anywhere from 20 min to an hour. I want to address the issue but keep being told it's not a neuro thing. What can be causing this? What should I ask to be checked for? Help..it hurts.

If you have not had an mri since these sensory events started, then you should. If the Keppra level has not been checked recently it should be. If both are normal, it would be worth trying adding a second seizure medication that is good for focal seizures, such as carbamazepine or oxcarbazine. Leon Rosenberg
