Chiropractic is a Science and an Art. My father was Chiropractor and so is my son. We know the most about each other and yet our treatments are not the same, but similar. I personally don't like hard forceful treatment. When it comes to manipulation, I use quickness and finesse. I don't use a lot of modalities. I use a select few that I feel complement my manual therapy. I work with my patients on activities of daily living, habits, the need for exercises, and other pertinent issues.
There are many different methods that chiropractors use to treat back pain. Some use no force, some light force, some are more forceful. All of them are effective. It’s a matter of personal preference of the chiropractor and it offers the patient many options to choose from. If one technique doesn’t work for you try a different approach. All of the methods have proven to be successful, it’s just a preferential thing for what the individual feels comfortable with and can master.
Chiropractors can utilize spinal manupilation, soft tissue release, nutrition, electrical stimulation, and other modalities approved by different states.
Hi. There are several techniques and depending when the Chiropractor graduated it will use his technique. Palmers grads in my opinion are better techniques and patient approach. Although, I’ve seen great adjusters for other colleges.
Every chiropractor may use a different technique there are many chiropractic techniques. Go stead, Thompson, SOT, Activator, etc...
There are many different methods to treat back pain, and most chiropractors have slightly different approaches. Most use some sort of chiropractic adjustment technique. Many will supplement that technique with other modalities that may include ultrasound, electrical stimulation, heat, ice, therapeutic exercise, traction, laser therapy, nutrition, acupuncture, massage therapy and more. They should take a good history and do a thorough examination to make recommendations that are right for you.
