Chiropractic care can help disc pain and ultrasound helps bring down the swelling. Avoid sitting, bending and twisting.
Get yourself to a good spinal orthopedist. It needs to be determined whether the disc has herniated so that it's a surgical candidate or not.
It is usually not the disc herniation that causes the pain. It depends on location of disc herniation which is best seen on MRI. You need in person evaluation to decide on best treatment plan for your condition.
Time is the best medicine for pain related to herniation. Can take sometimes 3-6 months to get better. Stretching and therapy can also help expedite the recovery process.
