What should I avoid if I have sciatica?

I was diagnosed with sciatica. I want to know what should I avoid if I have sciatica?

you should learn from a physical therapist or a handout brochure how to get along with your back ,especially lifting objects from the ground. Repeated bending and heavy lifting can aggravate your sciatic pain.
Please ask your orthopedic doctor. Activity restrictions depend on severity of condition. On a broad level, impact twisting pivoting and cutting activities need to be avoided.

Sciatica is nerve pinch of back lumbar nerves. Avoid excessive bending and heavy lifting. I’m surprised your doctor didn’t tell you. Physio exercise and back pelvic traction are usually helpful non-surgical treatments.
