Gastroenterologist Questions

What should I do about my chronic constipation?

I've been dealing with chronic constipation for a year. I have to take dulcolax just to have a bowel movement. Metamucil and Miralax work sometimes. There is a place on my stomach where when I press it, I feel a slight pain. I don’t know if that has anything to do with it, but it might be coming from my colon. I bloat every time I eat or drink. What should I do?

You should stay on laxatives and increase fiber in your diet. Exercise is also helpful. If you have any depression or anxiety, that should be treated too.
If you are not better then see a gastroenterologist.
