Why do I feel depressed when I'm overweight?

I am a 32 year old male. I want to know why do I feel depressed when I'm overweight? Can you be addicted to binge eating and then feeling bad afterward?

In eastern medicine, being overweight is associated with spleen weakness. As a systemic change, one of the symptoms is depression. That means these symptoms are coming as part of cluster symptoms.
Your sure can. Binge eating is a form of addiction and self sabotage. When we are overweight we have thoughts that range from "why try" to punishing ourselves. It is important to find successes and change our view of ourselves. Trust me, I have been there when I was overweight. Find a good bariatrician at www.obesitymedicine.org and find a good therapist if necessary. Find your new and better self; trust me the effort is worth it!
