Can anxiety cause a stroke?

I am a 37 year old female. I have anxiety that feels very intense on my heart. Can anxiety cause a stroke?

A stroke is caused when the blood supply is cut off or severely limited in an area of the brain. Anxiety can cause a person to feel as if they are having a heart attack and other serious medical problems. I am not aware of any incidence in which anxiety has caused a stroke.
No. Other things cause stroke, for example, birth control and cigarettes.
It would be very unlikely. A stroke occurs when a blood vessel supplying the brain is occluded. Without another pre existing condition such as high blood pressure, aneursym or other high risk factor for stroke, anxiety alone is unlikely to be the cause.
Yes, when anxiety is out of control, can lead to changes in heart rate and blood pressure resulting in stroke or myocardial infarction.
