How can I help my sister control her sudden bursts of anger?

My sister is 32 years old, and has a very hard time controlling her emotions. She often cannot control herself, especially when she is angry. Why is it she can't control herself? What can be done to help her?

Counseling could help.
There are a number of things that could be causing her irritability and rage. It would be best to have her seen by a psychiatrist who can do an evaluation and recommend treatment. She might be bipolar and need medication. She might need anger management. There are other possibilities as well. There is very little you can do to help her control her sudden outbursts with the exception of encouraging her to get the necessary help she needs.

This is a primitive, child like response. At 32 years old, she is quite immature and probably needs counseling to understand her immaturity and make changes in order to manage her emotions more maturely.
