From your query, I am guessing your period affects/worsens/causes your depression. If that is the case, then there is no need to worry. Do liaise with your mental health provider. In some cases, there is premenstrual exacerbation of symptoms due to hormonal changes or the hormonal changes by themselves cause the mood changes. Your mental health provider would be able to help initiate appropriate treatment or advice on medication adjustments around your menstrual cycle.
Hope that helps, thank you.
There are medicines to help you with that. You have to see a physician to help you with that.
The best way to understand this issue is to have an evaluation with a psychiatrist that understand hormonal issues and determine the characteristics of the depression during your menstrual cycle, is it only pure depression? Is it depression with dysphoria? Is it depression with mood swings? Is there a minor sub-clinical depression during the first part of the cycle? Etc.
