I am a 35 year old male. I want to know how can I stretch your lats?

I don't like hard forceful stretching. I am more in favor of dynamic range of motion stretching. All the range of motion of the shoulder and upper back are important.
Generally speaking, you stretch a muscle by moving in an equal and opposite direction from its intended action. For Lats, you can reach up and lean to the opposite side of the side you want to stretch. Continue the reaching motion for a greater stretch.
Hello,

You may do what is called a "prayer stretch" to help relieve tension off your lats.
Hanging from a pull-up bar would work great to stretch your lats!

Two positions come to mind... first the child’s pose stretch in yoga is great for stretching the lats, especially when you reach to the left and right. I also like getting into a lunge stretch where you’ll bring your arms up stretched overhead while leaning away from the leg that’s back. That’ll stretch your entire side. Give those a shot.
Flagpole Stretches are a great way to stretch the lats. This involves holding one end of a pole (dowel, broom stick, etc) with both hands, and the other end on the ground vertically. While standing, you then push your butt backward and straighten your arms out in front of you. As you let your chest sink toward the floor you should feel a stretch on the lats. You can also lean your body one direction then the other to increase the stretch on each side.
Hi there! To learn how to stretch any muscle, all you need to do is think about how you would workout that muscle and do the opposite motion. for example to work out your bicep you would do an action that causes you to flex your elbow bringing your hand upward, such a stretch that muscle you would do the exact opposite which would be extension of the elbow bringing your hand down towards the floor straightening your arm. To work out the latissimus dorsi you start with your arms over head and pulled down towards the floor, so we'll flip that to stretch it. I usually tell my patients to find some sort of overhanging ledge or a bar that's higher than your head grab it with your arms and sink down with a bending motion away from the side you want to stretch!
