Family Practitioner Questions Body Weight

My daughter is very thin can you please suggest some weight gaining techniques.

My daughter is 17 years old and is extremely thin. Are there any safe weight gain products that will genuinely help her gain the right amount of weight?

What is her BMI? If her BMI is within normal limits for her age and sex, I wouldn't worry. If abnormal, I would recommend having a conversation with your daughter, her provider, and possible a nutritionist about a game plan to her gain weight.
Pl get some labs done first to make sure it is not some diseases or deficiency that are causing this. Call 972-672-4121 to schedule an appointment.
Please review this article. It is excellent. Also I’d look for signs of eating disorder such anorexia as this is more common in young girls than we think. Hope this helps.

Does she eat properly now? If so, I would suggest seeing her primary care Dr and have a good physical and get some blood tests to check her thyroid.
Have your PCP prescribe an old antihistamine, Peractine, 4mg a couple times a day that has a side effect of increasing hunger and hence weight gain results, which can be a lot cheaper than more expensive choices.
Good eating,

See a psychologist for counseling for possible anorexia
Nutrition in general is key here, but have you discussed this with her doctor? Some people are naturally very thin, but there are also many health problems that can make it difficult to maintain a healthy weight. If she’s healthy but simply thin, I’d suggest working with a nutritionist to come up with a meal plan that will help her add weight in a healthy way.
First it is important to know whether your daughter's thinness is normal for her or abnormal. Is her body mass index (BMI) within the normal range for her. Some parents think their children are too thin, when in fact, they may weigh within the normal range for their age and body build. Children and parents do not always have the same body shapes.
If she truly needs to gain weight It is important to determine why she is not gaining weight. Does she have an underlying medical condition? I would recommend that she have a compete physical.
If everything is within normal limits, make sure she is getting enough protein in her diet. Exercise can help to increase her appetite and increase muscle mass.
Check the thyroid hormones. Eat more frequently, plenty of beverages and fruits.
