Should I send my child to school with a sore throat?

My 10 year old daughter has a sore throat. Should I send my child to school with a sore throat?

It's best to find out what the problem is, either viral or Strep etc. or something else before sending her to school. She can be contagious with either one.
If it is not due to strep and she is not running a fever, she can go to school but do not share food or drinks.
