Should I stretch after a chiropractic adjustment?

I am a 28 year old male and I will have a chiropractic adjustment. Should I stretch after a chiropractic adjustment?

Yes! Stretching before, after and daily. I don't particularly like hard, forceful stretching, especially if it causes pain. I mainly recommend regular movement stretching. This means going through the stretch without force or pain. Movement lubricates all the tissues.
That’s an awesome question! Stretching is always good to do before after or anytime, I would recommend talking with your chiropractor about when and what to stretch specific for your body and needs!
Hope that helps!

Stretching is usually part of the adjustment. Your chiropractic may send you home with exercises or stretches to aid in your treatment.

If you exercise too much, your muscles will get tight. If you don't exercise enough, your muscles will tighten up. Stretching is smart. But often a chiropractic adjustment may take up to 24 hours to fully integrate. It would be wise to start your stretching routine a day after an adjustment.
I would ask your chiropractor. We each have our own preferences.

Hello,

Yes, you can stretch after, it will help you sustain more relief and strengthen your body.

Thank you,

Yes, you can stretch before and after actually. It would help more to stretch before if the office you are going to does not do any tissue/muscle work before the adjustment.
The best answer to this question will come from the Doctor performing the adjustment. There are times when it would be good to stretch and times when it would not be good to stretch after an adjustment. Your Chiropractor will be more then happy to answer that question for you.
I have found that it is not necessary but certainly will not hurt you.

I would avoid too much stretching. Allow the adjustment to settle in.

In my opinion, stretching before your adjustment would be more beneficial than stretching after.
