stop opioid use

Hello I'm praying that someone can help me. I am struggling with opioid use and I need to stop however I work everyday and I cannot afford to miss any days from work or worse lose my new career at the best employer I've ever worked for. I have a pretty high amount of pain from my diagnosis of rheumatoid arthritis but also my lupus is very painful for my joints and muscles as well. I don't care about the pain from either of those I have to stop my opioid use I'm sick of it I just can't withdraw. I need to figure out a schedule for detox and how much I should be cutting back day by day week by week, and also anything that may help me achieve this. As long as I don't have full blown withdrawals I will be able to achieve this I want nothing more than to stop this. Please any information or help you can offer would be greatly appreciated! I know I can stop I need to and I want to I just have to be able to function while doing so. Thank you again for any help you can provide!

Complicated question. I would see a rheumatologist ASAP to get treated for RA and SLE. There are good medication options. A family doctor can disciss non addictive meds and non-pharmacoliguc options as well to help with pain. If you are getting opioids from a doctor, ask to swtch tobuprenorphine. This is a partial opioid that can help with pain and avoid withdrawal. You can also seek this in an addiction clinic. Good luck!
