Cardiologist Questions

tachycardia/stress

i have had tachycardia issues for a few months due to prolonged high levels of stress dealing with my wife and her mental health issues. it has gotten so bad that her just calling telling me shes done with treatment and coming home tomorrow caused my heart rate to go up over 150 for over a hour and i had chest pains on my left side to the point that over 24 hours later there is still a dull pain in my chest. my in laws think i should just be medicated for Anxiety and something called "life PTSD" but i think getting a divorce and just removing the stressor from my life completely is the better solution. looking for a medical opinion since none of us are medical professionals.

Sounds like its palpitations, you should see a cardiologist and get a holter monitor.
I don’t think that what your in-laws say should be determinative. In fact, they should keep out of this except for providing you and your wife with emotional support. As for your tachycardia issues, they should first be addressed by a cardiologist. If it is purely stress-related sinus tachycardia, then anti-anxiety medication may help. Finally, you need to see a mental health professional to help you make some very important decisions in your life.
