A Straight Chiropractor and a Mixer Chiropractor. However these distinctions are vague.
I’m not sure I’ve ever heard of there being two main types of chiropractors. There are many different techniques, though.
Male and female
Basically there are two major philosophies. The first are called mixers. These are Chiropractors who evaluate the whole body, diagnose, utilize various therapies such as ultrasound, electric stimulation. etc... They may also utilize nutrition, exercise diet and many other treatments. The other type are called straights. They focus mostly on the spine and related subluxations (misalignment of the spine). Typically they do not work on extremities or use alternative treatments.
We are all Doctors of Chiropractic, but how we approach things are more like how a Chef makes a soup; some build it by hand, taking care with only excellent organic ingredients. Some open a can and heat it up in a microwave.
There are many sub-specialties within Chiropractic, however to define two groups of practitioners in the profession they would be divided into straight practitioners and mixers. The straight chiropractor is concerned with adjusting the spinal joints only, where as the mixer would incorporate therapies, extremity adjustments and spinal adjustments. Hope this answers your question.
You have straight chiropractors and mixing chiropractors. Straights do just adjustments. Mixers do other physical therapies as well. That used to be a bigger question over 10 yers ago, but now most chiropractors are trained in multiple therapies and are more mixers.
I hope that answers your question.

Straight and mixers, or traditional and Semi-medical
There are chiropractors that mainly adjust the spine and there are chiropractors that use whatever natural method is available, to help you get better as fast as possible.
There are too many types and specializations of Chiropractors to lump into 2 categories. I suppose you could separate them by Non-Force Chiropractors and Chiropractors who adjust the spine. For my practice, I incorporate both styles based on patient preference and I am always learning new techniques and evolving my practice to better treat my patients. I would say most of the Chiros I know also run their practice this way.
