Will a lisp ever go away?

I am a 26 year old female. I have a lisp and feel self-conscious. Will a lisp ever go away?

Thank you for your question. Correcting a frontal lisp. Or what we call interdentalized lingual placement is typically corrected by changing the oral postures or tongue placement. One has to look at many factors. Typically can be corrected or improved with overall awareness , placement and practice. You may want to seek an assessment to investigate. Thank you again Anne

You would do best to consider completing a speech language pathology assessment in your local area or via teletherapy and complete an evaluation so you can match your goals specific with the findings of the assessment.
