Battling Ovarian Cancer: A Survivor's Story
Lorrie beat cancer, against all odds
Thankfully for Lorrie, she is now 13 years running after her diagnosis of ovarian cancer. Beating all the odds that were stacked against her, Lorrie teamed up with several other ovarian cancer survivors and founded the Minnesota Ovarian Cancer Alliance back in 1999. This organization promotes awareness, education, and research in the field of ovarian cancer. They host fundraisers such as walks or galas to help raise money for this important cause. She plans to do her first fundraiser walk next year.
