Get to know Pediatrician Dr. Taraneh Mostaghasi, who serves patients in Concord, California.

Well-versed in the field of pediatrics, Dr. Mostaghasi works with patients at her private practice, Concord Pediatric Care. She has been practicing in Contra Costa County, California since January 2010.

Throughout her academic career, she earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry from Texas A&M University, where she graduated magna cum laude and made university and national dean’s lists. During this period, she was awarded multiple scholarships, as well as membership of the American Chemical Society.

Matriculating to Ross University School of Medicine, she went on to clinical clerkships in hospitals affiliated with Mount Sinai School of Medicine, the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey, and the State University of New York. Her dream of becoming a pediatrician then led her to a residency in pediatrics at Goryeb Children’s Hospital in Morristown, New Jersey, which is affiliated with Mount Sinai School of Medicine.

Distinguished as a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics (FAAP), the doctor is board-certified in pediatrics by the American Board of Pediatrics (ABP). The mission of the ABP is to advance child health by certifying pediatricians who meet standards of excellence and are committed to continuous learning and improvement.

Pediatrics is the branch of medicine that involves the medical care of infants, children, and adolescents. The American Academy of Pediatrics recommends individuals be under pediatric care up to the age of 21. Pediatricians provide medical care to people ranging in age from newborns to young adults. They are trained to examine, diagnose, and treat children with a wide variety of injuries and illnesses through all of their developmental stages, as they grow and mature.

Happily married, Dr. Mostaghasi currently lives in Walnut Creek with her husband and two sons. She enjoys outdoor activities, reading, cooking, and music.
