Elevating Cardiovascular Care Standards in Mississippi Through Dedication and Expertise

Dr. Brett A. Bennett, MD, FSCAI, FACC, a triple board certified interventional cardiologist, is at the forefront of managing complex heart disease and peripheral vascular disease at Jackson Heart Clinic, P.A. He operates out of the offices in Dominican Plaza (Jackson) and Flowood Clinic in Mississippi.

With a keen focus on chronic total occlusion (CTO) interventions and complex coronary procedures, Dr. Bennett’s expertise has propelled the clinic to be recognized as one of the premier CTO centers in the Southeast.

A native of Pearl, Mississippi, Dr. Bennett is a proud alumnus of Millsaps College, where he excelled academically, graduating magna cum laude with a Degree in Chemistry. His academic journey continued at the University of Mississippi School of Medicine, culminating in his Medical Degree in 2010. Dr. Bennett further honed his skills through rigorous training, completing a residency in internal medicine and fellowships in cardiology and interventional cardiology at the esteemed University of Mississippi Medical Center.

With board certifications in interventional cardiology, cardiovascular disease, and internal medicine, Dr. Bennett is a Diplomate of the American Board of Internal Medicine, showcasing his commitment to excellence in patient care. His dedication to advancing cardiovascular research is evident through his active participation in various research studies, ranging from coronary artery disease, novel coronary stents, congestive heart failure, and arrhythmia to antiplatelet therapy and artificial intelligence platforms in the diagnosis of heart disease.

Recognized as a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology (FACC) and a Fellow of the Society for Cardiovascular Angiography and Interventions (FSCAI), Dr. Bennett’s professional affiliations underscore his standing within the cardiovascular community. He is also a valued member of prestigious organizations such as the American College of Physicians and the American Heart Association, further solidifying his reputation as a leader in the field.

Outside of his medical practice, Dr. Bennett finds joy in spending quality time with his family, coaching youth sports, and mentoring students from local schools. He and his loving wife, Sharon, are members of McLaurin Heights Baptist Church and the proud parents to three wonderful children: Colston, Brynn and Britton.
