Dr. Williams is an internist who is currently serving patients at Sanford Health, one of the largest health systems in the United States. Headquartered in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, the organization includes 44 hospitals, 1,400 physicians and more than 200 Good Samaritan Society senior care locations in 26 states and nine countries.

Dr. Williams also serves as Assistant Dean for Diversity and Inclusion at the University of South Dakota Sanford School of Medicine; and as Assistant Professor in Internal Medicine at the same university.

Dr. Williams received his medical degree from the University of Arizona College of Medicine in Tucson, Arizona. Thereafter, he went on to complete his residency and internship in internal medicine at Good Samaritan Medical Center / Veterans Affairs Hospital in Phoenix, Arizona.

Dr. Williams is board-certified in internal medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM). The ABIM is a physician-led, non-profit, independent evaluation organization driven by doctors who want to achieve higher standards for better care in a rapidly changing world.

Dr. Williams holds professional memberships with several organizations, including the Association of American Indian Physicians and the American College of Physicians.
