How do you relieve severe tooth pain?
Usually, you go to a dentist and start on antibiotics. But if you don’t have access or the money, there are some other home remedies like 2 ibuprofen and 1 500mg Tylenol that act as a low dose pain med... if your doctor says you are able to take both of those pills. Also, there had been some research with that oil pulling, swishing with coconut, olive or sesame oil in the mouth for 20 minutes can relieve a toothache. READ MORE
Are there any side effects of removing wisdom teeth?
Usually, there are not if it is a simple extraction. If it ends up being a surgical extraction then it could possibly take longer to heal. With any kind of extraction you always run the risk of getting a dry socket.... where the bone is exposed to the air and it can ache. This isn’t a usual occurrence but can happen on its own, but mostly from a sucking action pulling the blood clot out of the socket to expose the bone, for example sucking through a straw or smoking. There is a treatment for this that uses a packing material and it instantly helps remove the discomfort. This should be done only by a dentist. Sometimes you have blood seepage from the extraction site and should sleep with an old pillowcase. It could be somewhat tender for 24 hours, do you should probably not so anything too strenuous for at least 24-48 hours. Anyway, typically extractions are pretty simple and go really well. READ MORE

What can be the cause of my teeth pain?
Hello, Have you recently taken a fall or had a driving accident where they might have been hit? Do you have braces, or might you be hitting them heavy when you bite down? Are they sensitive from scrubbing them, using abrasive toothpaste, or tanning? Could you have cracked a tooth? Do you wear any appliances (could be an ill fitting appliance)? Also, upper back teeth can become sensitive and ache from sinuses, but it would be rare for that to be the case for the two front teeth. READ MORE
How can I make my teeth healthier?
Hello, You can brush for a minimum of 2 times a day for 2 minutes, floss daily, have a good diet, limit sugary drinks and snacks, and see your dentist 2 times a year. Soda pop with sugar or energy drinks like Gatorade have so much sugar that can sit on your teeth and cause cavities. You can also use a fluoride toothpaste and a good fluoride rinse several times a day like ACT. Also, medications can dry your mouth leading to decay, so something to make your mouth more moist is recommended like sucking on sugarless mints throughout the day. If you are drinking a soda pop that has sugar, I would try switching to water or diet pop. Don’t eat sugar candy that you suck on for a long time either as you are just bathing your teeth in that sugar and it’s working on your teeth to cause decay. READ MORE
