Frida Kahlo

Famous for her paintings that represented her physical and emotional pain, Frida Kahlo may have also had fibromyalgia. While this has not been proven, her physical trauma, symptoms and paintings all point to the artist dealing with chronic pain. Doctors and art historians believe that Kahlo used her creativity to express what she felt. In her paintings, Kahlo expressed herself with barbed wire, thorns and arrows around the 11 different tender points that are related to fibromyalgia.
