Alcohol is alright once in a while. But, not all the time
While there are benefits to drinking certain types of alcohol, take great care to watch the amount you consume. A glass of red wine every now and then is great because it provides antioxidants that will be good for your heart.
On the other hand, alcoholic beverages that have high sugar components can pose terrible consequences to one’s health. They contain empty calories, which then increases the possibility of heart disease and even obesity. The latter can even be an identifying risk for depression and other neuropsychiatric conditions. It is not all bad— it is usually fine to take one drink or two per day. You do not have to make gigantic lifestyle changes. All it takes is moderation.
