Pasta with Alfredo Sauce: Alfredo sauce contains high levels of fat and sodium

Alfredo sauce contains lots of heavy cream, butter, and Parmesan cheese. Adding it to your favorite white-flour pasta noodles would immediately add a heavy amount of calories (1000), fat (75g), and carbohydrates (nearly 100). This may elevate the sugar level in our body and may trigger complications because of its high levels of fat and sodium

Try this instead: Tomato sauce and whole-wheat pasta

Instead of using Alfredo sauce, use a pasta sauce that is tomato-based. You may also create your own version of pasta sauce so that you can calculate and adjust the ingredients that will be used in your sauce.

With pasta, you should always strive for whole-wheat and measure how much you should consume. Keep in mind, one cup of pasta contains approximately 45 grams of carbohydrates. This amount of carbs should be all the carbs that you consume for your dinner.
