As a board certified reproductive endocrinologist, specializing in the field of Assisted Reproductive Technology (ART), it has been my life’s work to help build families. Many of my patients come to me with little hope and often misdiagnosis’. I have been influential in the births of more than 6000 IVF babies, and with 20 plus years of experience, many of my findings have been incorporated into treatment protocols from around the world.

In this blog I hope to educate hopeful mothers on the latest advances in reproductive medicine and infertility. I will also cover case studies. Feel free to comment on my posts and I will always do my best to answer all of your questions.

After the first session or two, you should have an intuitive sense for whether this person is the right fit. If you're feeling unsettled about them, they probably aren't and you should keep looking. Yes, reach out to friends and family too. Social support is very important and makes a big difference in combatting depression and is a positive to overall psychological health!

Therapist is a more or less generic term for several different kinds of mental health professionals. A therapist could be a social worker, counselor, psychologist or other. Even some other professions use the term [e.g. physical therapist, occupational therapist]. This title is mostly used by professionals with a masters degree in a mental health field. A psychologist is a title that only specific professionals can use. They must have a doctoral degree [ie Ph.D., Psy.D.] and be licensed in the state they practice. Overall, psychologists usually have more training than the professionals who use the title "therapist."
