Pelvic tilts - sitting with feet on the floor and shoulders upright, tighten the stomach and flatten the back, hold for 5-10 count
Upper trunk rotations - sitting with feet on floor and shoulders upright, rotate the shoulders and arms to the left then to the right, repeat 5-10 reps.

What are your expectations moving forward? How does the scar look? Is there scar formation around the repair site?
I would recommend you discuss the Physical Therapy question with your surgeon. Now from a purely PT stand point, the faster we get to work with you the better. I hope this helps in your decision. Best of luck.
