College Sophomore Turns to Sorority for Crohn's Support

Passion through her sorority

Rhiannon's college experience has been especially marked by her sorority. She is Phi Mu's philanthropy chair, where she focuses on raising awareness and donations for Children's Miracle Network Hospitals. She explains why she is passionate about this, "I got successfully through that time in my life [because of] Children's, and I don't think it would've been the same if I would've been anywhere else. That's why I literally love being our philanthropy chair. Giving back to the hospital that pretty much gave me life really, really, really impacts me on a daily basis. I would fight to death for Children's."

However, Children's Miracle Network Hospitals are not the only ones who value her contributions. A fellow member of Phi Mu, Abigail Nguyen, voiced the importance of Rhiannon's hard work, "she does a really good job of energizing us for [philanthropy events] and does a really good job of reminding us it may not affect me directly, [but] it will affect people you know. She has this way of hitting the right buttons to make people want to be a part of it and participate and help."
