Stick to a Sleep Schedule and Don't Take Sedatives or Sleeping Pills
- Stick to a regular sleep schedule:Get at least 8 hours of sleep. By getting enough sleep, the risk of sleep apnea occurring is drastically reduced.
- Don’t take sedatives or sleeping pills: Sleeping pills and sedatives have chemicals that help relax the tissues located in the upper airway, making it harder to breathe while asleep. Make sure to avoid them, especially before bedtime.
