Synthetic Marijuana May Be Effective to Reduce Sleep Apnea Symptoms
Can this really be effective?
One study sought to determine the effectiveness of patients and their use of Dronabinol for the symptoms that come with obstructive sleep apnea. The desire to conduct the study came from the search for a more efficient means of alleviating sleep apnea symptoms. In terms of the potential that the drug shows, the study, published in the journal entitled “Sleep,” states that, “Dronabinol has shown promise for OSA pharmacotherapy in a small dose-escalation pilot study.” The research effort observed 73 adults, all of which had been diagnosed with moderate to severe obstructive sleep apnea.
