In order to test the idea, Cohen started to hand out iPods to nursing home residents, back in 2008, in order to enable them to have personalized music. The place where the first test was carried out was the Cobble Hill Health Center, based in Brooklyn. However, due to the results that could be seen after starting the test, this practice extended to more than 4,500 sites all over the U.S.
