For most of us, this measure is easier said than done. Regardless, reducing the amount of stress experienced on a daily basis can help to prevent lupus symptoms entirely. Excessive stress can contribute to the body’s excessive immune response, which will also exacerbate the person’s symptoms. There are several methods which can be followed in order to reduce stress, the most important of which is the avoidance of factors which are known to affect the person in negative ways. However, if avoidance is not possible, there are also practices which can be used to reduce stress levels on a whim, such as meditation, daily yoga sessions, nature walks, reading a good book or, in the most serious cases, seeing a psychologist or other specialist which could assist in stress reduction.
