Mom of Three Boys with Muscular Dystrophy Shares Her Secrets on Remaining Positive

Aside from the Translarna, the boys have to take a number of other medications that can cost the family up to $35,000 each year. This also includes other therapies that help them cope with the disease. Their medical bills are definitely outstanding, and are large enough to send anyone's blood pressure through the roof.

Thankfully, aside from qualifying for clinical trials, the family also has private insurance and qualify for a state Medicaid plan that helps them relieve some of the financial burden. Despite their stress and uncertainty, the family collectively decided to remain positive and find the joy in everything that they do.
