Parents Honor Son with Spinal Muscular Atrophy with Touching Permanent Tribute
Two years after his passing: They welcomed a new daughter and an emotional photo shoot
On June 27, 2017, just under two years after Isaac passed away, Gloria and Steve brought a baby girl, Claire, into the world. In order to celebrate her arrival, the couple planned a family photo shoot by including Claire and their angel wings for Isaac into the picture.
“I just thought it would be so wonderful to have our memorial for our son be part of her photo shoot welcoming her into the world since Isaac couldn’t physically be there with us,” Gloria says.
This emotional photo, shot by photographer Megan Miles, captures newborn baby Claire laying on her parents’ backs, facing the camera. She is nestled in the center of Isaac’s angel wings, creating a complete family picture.
“When I saw it for the first time, I saw our entire family,” Gloria explained. “Like Isaac was there with us.”
