OB-GYN (Obstetrician-Gynecologist) Questions OB-GYN

Am I pregnant?

On April 14th, 2021, I had protected sex with my boyfriend. He lightly opened the condom package and put it on. We both noticed it didn’t quite fit him the best and it was a little loose but we continued with having intercourse. While on top I didn’t see the condom slip off or didn’t feel it come off inside me. Not only this but my boyfriend never cummed in the condom either or at all. I’m supposed to start my period around the 24-26th of April which yesterday was the 26 and when I went to the bathroom I saw light pink and a little red which I thought would be good. But now all I’m thinking about is what if it’s implantation bleeding because the flow is light and there’s not a whole lot of blood like there is usually. My flow should have picked up by now but when I woke up this morning it wasn’t enough for a heavy flow and the blood was a little red but not very red. I have no clue if I’m pregnant or not I need help.

Hello,

So, pregnancy tests these days are extremely accurate! They actually can tell if you are pregnant 5 days before you miss your period. This should certainly help you with that diagnosis. Your other symptoms, otherwise, can be very common, and I would not worry about it. You are thinking way too much about it. You can solve this worry with just doing the pregnancy test.
I hope that this helps.

Taking a pregnancy test will clear up any confusion. If it is negative, it is incredibly unlikely you are pregnant. If your period does not start with full flow over the next few days then I would repeat the test.
