Are crowns on front teeth noticeable?

I will get a crown on my front teeth. Are crowns on front teeth noticeable?

Hi,
Thank you for your question. No, they are not noticeable as long as they are well made by a great dentist (a prosthodontics which specializes in dental esthetics), tooth color selection is correct, and an experience dental technician. Hope this helps. Happy Holidays.
Crowns, done improperly or with the wrong materials, can be noticeable. The rules are these:1. If the crown is one of the 2 (middle) front teeth, it should be a twin to its neighbor middle tooth2. If the crown is to the left or right, (beside the 2 front ones), it can just be a sibling..as often the other front teeth do not match in _shape_ exactly3. from a conversational distance (3 feet) the color of the crown, or the opacity of the crown should not be different from the other front teeth4. If the tooth having the crown is very dark, sometimes the dentist has to use porcelain/metal crowns to block the color.5. If the tooth having the crown is not very dark, an all-ceramic crown can be done (no metal) and can be beautiful.
