“Black or tarry stool?”
Hello there, the last few days I've been having black sticky/tarry stool. I was wondering if I could ask what's been causing these? Because everything I've read is about the intestine having a rupture?

Complaint duration: One or two days
Medications: Adhd medicatiom

Black stools can mean that there is bleeding from the stomach or other upper GI tract. Best to see a doctor to check if you are anemic. The stool can also be checked for the presence of blood. If either of these is the case, then you should have an upper endoscopy performed to look for a cause of bleeding.
