Can I take heartburn medicine during pregnancy?

I am pregnant and have heartburn. Can I take heartburn medicine during pregnancy?

When pregnant you should always discuss all medications with your obstetrician. Heartburn is common during pregnancy as the enlarging uterus increases intra-abdominal pressure which can only be relieved in a few ways with gastroesophageal reflux ( heartburn) being the easiest
