Yes! One of the most common foot pain is seen in people rather obese (Morton´s neuroma). They usuallly complaint of burning pain after standind or walking for some time . Clinically is typical a pain evoked by even slight pression between the digits III and IV. and hyposthesia in this interdigital space. Tarsal Tunnel syndrome, polyneuropathy or trauma may also cause plantar foot hyposthesia.
Perhaps Chiropractic massage/manipulation may help with your feeling of numbness, but only in a limited way. The cause (ideology) of your numbness should be investigated and if it is determined that it associated with a general medical physiological problem or disease then Chiropractic care won't be much help. I recommend you consult with a Podiatric Surgeon who is Board Certified by the American Board of Foot & Ankle Surgery.
Numbness maybe due to lower back radiculopathy, Type 2 Diabetes, Morton's neuroma, etc. Therefore, I recommend that you see a Podiatrist to determine the root cause of your numbness in your feet.
As a Board Certified Chiropractic Neurologist who has been specifically trained in Electrodiagnostic Medicine, I can identify the cause of feet numbness. We have this diagnostic equipment onsite at my Clinic. Once the proper diagnosis has been made through this testing and a through examination and patient history, we can get you the help you need. Sometimes feet numbness can be caused by a herniated disc in the lower back. Other cases it can be as a result of a systemic condition like Diabetes Mellitus or heavy metal exposure. Disc issues in the lower back spine, Chiropractor’s many times are your best option before drugs and invasive Spinal surgery for patients with Disc problems in the Spine. If you are experiencing another causation of numbness in the feet, I will identify it with Electrodiagnostic testing and promptly refer out to other Health Care Physicians when the most appropriate Care is warranted.
You would honestly get evaluated to find the cause of your nerve pain. You need to see a neurologist and get nerve conduction studies. Something serious may be wrong.
If the numbness is from an issue with your back, a manipulation may give you some benefit. I recommend you make an appointment with a foot and ankle surgeon (podiatrist) for evaluation and treatment options so you can get an appropriate diagnosis, which would be the starting point for treatment
