Cast partials can cause tooth wear damage but valplast nylon partials do not cause tooth damage
Hi! It really depends on the situation and if the partial fits ideally on the gums and the teeth. If the partial is hurting one of your teeth currently, please stop wearing it and call the office so you can have it adjusted appropriately.
Yes if you keep it in to brush or to sleep. Remove it to brush. Remove it when you sleep. Then if made properly you can prevent damage. Get Outlook for iOS<https://aka.ms/o0ukef>
Yes
The short answer is Yes. Your partial denture has clasps on it correct? These clasps will hook onto your natural teeth. Whenever you bite and chew with it, the clasp will grab onto your natural teeth. Over a long period of time, it will eventually weaken the tooth that it is clasping. This is typically not a huge issue if you are using a very strong tooth as an anchor. This is a big concern if you are using a tooth that is weak and already a little bit wobbly as the clasping tooth!
