Could my tooth pain be causing my headaches?

Got a pretty bad cavity. Now, I'm getting some pretty bad headaches the last few days. Could my tooth pain be causing my headaches?

Yes, especially if the infected tooth is on your upper arch, where its root(s) may be very close or sometimes right at your maxillary and nasal sinuses. Our maxillary skeletal structures has more sinuses and communications to the brain than the lower arch so it is not uncommon for one to suffer headache/migraine from a long standing untreated bad decayed tooth.
