Covid Vaccine?

I had a bad reaction to shots at the dentist's office when they use epinephrine. Will this cause me to have a reaction if I get the covid vaccine? I'm 69 years old and a former smoker with some labored breathing at times.

Good evening,

It should not cause you to get a reaction especially if you have not had any problems with other vaccines.
A lot of patients can have side effects from injections at the dentist - sometimes epinephrine is the issue, other times it can be the local anesthetic. None of those classes of medications are in the COVID vaccine and you should get the vaccine. If you are concerned however, you can certainly schedule a visit with an allergist to review your history and see if any testing maybe indicated to alleviate any of your fears.
Good morning to you!

It is very difficult and risky to give you an appropriate answer. The best is to visit your physician who may investigate you in respect of your condition in respect of receiving the shot.
All my best and stay safe!
The two are not related. I would take the vaccine, but discuss first with your own doctor so you know the exact nature of your reactions.
Thanks for the question!

Nothing in vaccines are related to or contain epinephrine. Go ahead and get vaccinated ASAP.
