Covid booster?

If a person has had two Pfizer vaccinations and has recovered from the Delta virus is a booster shot necessary?

The reason for a booster is the same for COVID as for any other booster. Immunity brought about by vaccination tends to taper off with time, but a booster does just what the name says, boosts the immunity to a higher level So yes, get your booster.
It remains a very good idea. The immunization actually prompts a more robust immune response than having the disease. Now, if you were very very sick, in the hospital with respiratory distress...then you might have a very good immune response already. If it was a milder disease course, I would definitely recommend the booster.
