Covid shot side effect, 2 weeks later?

I had my first Pfizer shot about 2 weeks ago. For the past week to 10 days have been experiencing pain in that arm, from shoulder down to the hand. Aches constantly, sometimes makes it hard to sleep. Due for my second dose, today. Can this pain be a side effect from 1 st. shot and/or should I be concerned going for second shot? Really nervous, 71 years old.....

This is not due to the contents of the vaccine unless you are allergic to them. More likely, the injection itself hit a nerve, or caused a sterile area of inflammation. Discuss with your doctor, because if allergic, you would hold the second shot.
Thanks for the question.

You should see your physician. Second shot should be given 3-12weeks after first shot.

Yes! Please postpone the second dose and see a doctor first.
