Covid/sinus issue?

So back in mid-December I started feeling a little under the weather. Congestion, headache, fatigue, lots of pain in the eyebrow, and runny nose. A little bit of a sore throat. So naturally, I went and got tested for covid. Negative. My doctor sent me penicillin because the runny nose was driving me crazy. It helped a little bit. But the rest of Dec the runny nose was still persistent. Early January my father tested positive for covid. He was fine and tested negative. Then my sister tested positive. Because we have had two positive covid cases at home, my mom and I kept testing throughout January (waiting the right amount of time because we know testing too early might give a false negative.) my sister also recovered and has been negative for two weeks. I tested last week and just received a negative result. However, I have had a runny nose for a couple of weeks now and it won’t stop. I’m getting testing again this week but don’t think it’s covid. My mother and I have never tested positive. I don’t know what to do. The runny nose is driving me insane. The other reason I do not think it’s covid is that I’ve also had very itchy eyes sometimes. I have been crying a lot so I don’t know if that makes runny nose/sinuses worse. My runny nose is so persistent. When I eat, when I move, am on the computer, etc. it just starts running like crazy. The only time it kind of settles down is when I’m laying down to sleep. It doesn’t seem to bother me at night. I’ve taken steamed showers doesn’t really do much. I haven’t taken any medication for a runny nose because I want to make sure I’m aware of my symptoms in case it was covid. Except every once in a while I get a headache and take Excedrin for that. My body and throat do not hurt. And I am not coughing. And I can breathe and move fine. Never had covid. The runny nose and sporadic headache are what is bothering me. I keep testing every week and it’s always negative. Please help.

Thank you very much for the very detailed description of your history. The only thing that I would say right off the bat is what was your influenza swab? Are you being repeatedly in contact with influenza? If so and people that you were in close proximity with have Covid influenza and Covid equal a superinfection that you definitely don’t want. And you wanna make sure that that’s the case. Why a chest x-ray a sputum sample blood test all of those things I haven’t been done or tested I can’t answer is I’m not you’re prescribing physician. So I would make sure that all the necessary tests need to be tested and then you could work from there. It sounds like a sinus infection and Levaquin 500 mg a day times 10 days if you take it off why is it clear it all up. And pneumonia, bronchitis, and a multitude of other illnesses. So, get the necessary test by the appropriate physicians, nothing wrong with starting on that medication, over-the-counter medication I would recommend would be nasal saline, Afrin every once in a while but no more than 3 to 5 days in a row, and hot showers Netty pots old school remedies worked because they worked. Or they wouldn’t be around anymore. Thank you for asking me and I wish you nothing but health wealth and happiness God bless and be safe.Be well.
