Podiatrist Questions Orthopaedic Surgeon

Feels like they will POP!

My heels have been hurting now for about a month. It started with minor discomfort and progressively got worse. I didn't sleep at all last two nights because of the severe discomfort. This morning it's unbearable. I can't put any weight on them. It feels as if they want to pop. I'm concerned because when my heels hurt like this my mid-back hurts like hell. I've had breaks, tears, sprains, etc and this pain is neither of those.

Sounds like you have plantar fasciitis and it needs to be treated appropriately
Based on symptoms, it looks like Plantar Fasciitis. Get an evaluation by your orthopedic doctor. The usual treatment is Calf stretches, soft footwear, physical therapy, NSAIDS or Ibuprofen, rest, and elevation. Avoid impact activities. Very important is an evaluation by your orthopedic doc.

Sounds like tendons are moving.May need an MRI exam to define the cause
If the pain is severe you should be evaluated in person by a qualified orthopedic specialist, podiatrist, or sports medicine specialist. Hands-on assessment is important and you may need blood tests and x-rays to be performed. If you cant get a sooner appointment I would at least get an initial evaluation at an urgent care. If the pain was not so sick you could try home remedies including warm soaks and using heel pads which are available in most pharmacies as well as over-the-counter anti-inflammatories such as Advil but by your description, you need a more urgent assessment.
I would see an orthopedist and start with an x-ray.
